BIO
Macy, our pocket rocket ripper from Central Coast NSW became a surfing sensation when she won the World Junior crown at just 15 years of age. Macy first began competing in surf lifesaving and once she got her hands on a body board, she treated it like a surfboard. It was obvious this girl with a big personality was going to be great. She won her first event at a tiny ten years old on her dad’s surfboard and the rest is history.
Macy went on to win the Australian Open title and two Junior Australian titles before she took a devastating blow in 2017 when she missed out on qualifying by a single heat. Her perseverance paid off and she made it in 2018 and qualified for the 2019 WSL Championship Tour. A year of finding her feet, getting used to CT life and she made it back for 2020 and 2021. Macy’s mental game is a strong one too. She surfs with strategy in mind, fears no one and tactically dismantles her opposition bit by bit.
What you see is what you get with our fun-loving Macy, popular and polite, she admits she has a tendency to overthink things. A little sarcastic, a little sassy, she’s certainly the life of the party on surf trips. Macy now lives on the Gold Coast where she can perfect her performance in the world class waves of the glitter strip, and with more experience under her belt, the powerful and smooth natural footer has the talent to make some serious heads spin.
